I am a third year student currently working towards my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies focusing on Psychology and English at Arizona State University. I have also done some semesters minoring in statistic analysis at California State University, Monterey where I first started my college journey. I am passionate about greater expanding my knowledge on Child and Adolescent Psychology and understanding how personal development creates, molds and influences developing children and teens. As I learn more about personality and developmental psychology, I hope to utilize this knowledge when I become a English teacher for middle school/high school. In our education system we have lost the value of how truly powerful imagination is, with my students I want to ignite a passion in them, that I feel many of us lose before we can realize our true potential. Once people realize that with imagination and the power of growth mindset we can change the way our next generation thinks. As a teacher my greatest goal is only this; that I teach my future students not only how to think for themselves but how to care and think about others. Once we change how we think, we can change the world. Not only can we change the world teacher by teacher, but student by student. |
